The Legacy Continues.....   I am fortunate to say that I had the opportunity to
spend 20 plus years in apprenticeship under Greg Perino, and with his passing
I have made the decision to re-establish my Arrowhead and Artifact
Authentication Services.

I began collecting artifacts back in 1972 and I've never looked back since.
Then, I met Greg Perino in 1978.

I quickly realized that he was a man who not only knew a lot about artifacts, but
that he was also a person who had high standards and a tremendous amount
of good character. I watched him take on the artifakers early on in my
relationship with him. Greg never seem to care much about what other people
thought when he was dealing with fraudulent artifacts or artifakers. He always
told it like it was and called them as he saw them. His determinations were not
based on who had owned the artifact or who wanted it papered. He always
used the same criteria to determine authenticity. This criteria is the knowledge
and experience he passed to me.

I was fortunate to be able to work closely with this man who became like a
father to me and who I will always consider to be "The Father of Artifact
Authentication." His passing has saddened many of us, and he is sorely
missed. But I have made up my mind that his body of work and his life should
not be wasted or forgotten. So the best way I can honor him is to do my part to
keep his name and his work alive. I believe that serving the collecting
community is what I should do to follow in his footsteps. Because it was more
than an honor to know him, and what he gave to me was more than a working
knowledge of artifact authentication. I want to keep the memory of him and the
work he devoted his life to alive in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew
and respected him. I want the up-coming generations of collectors to know
who this man was, what he accomplished and what he represented. It is my
priviledge and my responsibility to do so.
